What Insurance Is Included?
All vehicles rented by Paphos Car Rental include the legally required Third-Party Liability Insurance applicable to rental vehicles in Cyprus.
This provides cover for third-party bodily injury and third-party property damage in accordance with the applicable Cyprus insurance arrangements and policy terms.
In addition to third-party cover, Paphos Car Rental provides comprehensive cover for damage to the rental vehicle, subject to the exclusions and conditions set out in our rental terms and conditions.
Zero Excess for Accidental Damage
For eligible drivers and bookings, Paphos Car Rental provides zero excess for collision and accidental damage to the rental vehicle.
This includes accidental damage that occurs while the vehicle is parked, provided the incident falls within the terms of the cover.
Theft and Break-In Cover
Full cover is provided in the event of theft of the rental vehicle or damage caused to the vehicle as a direct result of a break-in or attempted theft, subject to the terms and conditions of the rental agreement.
If your vehicle is broken into during your rental, please contact us as soon as possible and report the incident to the relevant authorities where required.
No Hidden Insurance Charges
The price you are quoted by Paphos Car Rental includes the standard insurance cover applicable to your booking. We do not add unexpected insurance charges when you arrive to collect your vehicle.

What Is Not Covered?
Although we provide extensive cover, certain types of damage, loss and misuse are excluded. These exclusions are designed to ensure that the vehicle is used responsibly and in accordance with the rental agreement.
The following are not covered:
- Interior or undercarriage damage not caused by a collision
- Damage that is not reported during the rental period or at the time of return and is subsequently identified, where evidence reasonably indicates that it occurred during the rental period
- Loss or damage to keys, including associated replacement costs
- Costs resulting from keys being locked inside the vehicle
- Misuse, negligence or reckless driving
- Misfuelling
- Mechanical damage caused by improper or inappropriate use
- Driving off-road or on unsuitable terrain
- Tyre damage, including punctures, cuts and blowouts, unless directly attributable to a documented collision
- Driving in areas where the vehicle is not permitted, including Northern Cyprus
- Use of the vehicle by an unauthorised driver
- Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Overloading the vehicle
- Continuing to drive after a warning light, fault or mechanical problem becomes apparent
- Loss of or damage to personal belongings

What Does "Zero Excess" Mean?
An insurance excess is the amount a customer may normally have to pay towards the cost of damage to a rental vehicle following an accident or other covered incident.
At Paphos Car Rental, eligible drivers benefit from zero excess for covered collision and accidental damage.
This means you don't have to worry about paying a large excess following a covered accident, subject to the terms and exclusions of the rental agreement.
Please note that zero excess does not mean that every type of damage or loss is covered. Exclusions such as keys, tyres, misfuelling, misuse and certain mechanical or underbody damage remain the customer's responsibility.
No Large Security Deposit
We believe collecting your rental car should be quick and hassle-free.
Paphos Car Rental does not require a large security deposit or unexpected credit card hold for eligible bookings.
This means you can arrive at Paphos Airport, collect your vehicle and start your holiday without having a large amount of money tied up on your credit card.
Are There Any Insurance Upgrades?
There are no compulsory insurance upgrades to purchase when you arrive.
Our standard cover is designed to provide comprehensive protection for eligible customers without the need for complicated insurance packages or pressure to purchase additional cover at the rental desk.

Who Is Covered?
Our insurance arrangements are subject to the driver's eligibility and the terms of the rental agreement.
